The Antidote to Pandemic Pandemonium

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”  Isaiah 41:10

We cannot turn on the television with out a news report or special interruption giving us an update on the Corona virus. The entire world is literally in pandemic pandemonium.

We, the sons and daughters of God however, are told not to fear. (“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7); (Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. John 14:27); (For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7).

God is with us and will watch over us (Psalm 121:8). And the peace that we have in these times are an opportunity to glorify God more than ever.

Because of God’s provisions, we are called to be ready to give an answer for the hope that is in us. That peace is the Holy Spirit, provided by the shed blood of Jesus Christ on the cross. That peace is the assurance of eternity in Heaven with our Savior. That peace is God’s promises to be with us (Deuteronomy 31:8), to provide for us (Philippians 4:19) and that He desires to prosper us (Jeremiah 29:11) and not harm us.

Joshua 1:9 says – “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

We have been commanded not to fear, because God is right here with us and will be for all of eternity.

God simply spoke and all of creation came into being, He controls the wind and the waves, with the sound of His voice. We are His beloved, what have we to fear?

But the world does not know Him (He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him. John 1:10). And, therefore, they have fear.

When the world questions our peace, our faith and our confidence in God’s sovereignty, we have the answer. It is Jesus Christ. When there is pandemic pandemonium, we have the antidote. It is Jesus Christ.

We are called to be prepared to give an answer for the faith that is in us ( But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, 1 Peter 3:15). God wants us to tell those that are frightened, sad, anxious, about the hope and peace that is found in Christ alone.

We are in a lost and dying world and they need to hear about Jesus more than they need groceries, more than they need bathroom tissue and even more than they need an antidote to a virus. And we have a never ending supply of Him who is the antidote to pandemic pandemonium, to share with them.

I pray that today, we would do as we are commanded and not fear (Have I not commanded you to be strong and courageous? Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9). I pray that we would do as we are commanded and love our neighbors as ourselves (And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. Matthew 22;39). I pray that we would do as we are commanded and preach the gospel to everyone who will listen (And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.” Mark 16:15).

As followers of Jesus Christ, God is with us and will watch over us and provide for us and all He asks in return is that we allow Him to be glorified through the peace, joy and hope that He provides to us.

Church….now is the time to show the world who our trust and future lie in. Let’s trust our Heavenly Father with our todays and our tomorrows and point those around us to Him.

If you do not know Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior and you are fearful of the Corona virus, illness and/or death, I pray that right now you would go to our Life Preserver page (https://forgiven-n-loved.com/life-preserver/) and pray the prayer that is outlined there. Jesus Christ who is the antidote to all of your fears and to the world’s pandemic pandemonium, wants to supply you with all the peace, joy and hope you will ever need.
