Because we all yearn to know true Peace, years ago, there was a Christian campaign that used the phrase, “No Jesus, No Peace. Know Jesus, know peace.” There is currently a campaign using the phrase, “No Justice, No Peace.” It is a little frightening how the one phrase indicates the source of peace and how to obtain it and the enemy has distorted it, replacing it with one that threatens.
We have no respect for one another in our current society. Our lack of respect and love for each other results in social injustices and hatred that is typically based on fear.
Fear and hatred are from the enemy. God doesn’t want us to fear. He tells us not to fear. “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10.
He also doesn’t want us to hate one another. “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.” John 13:34.
God wants us to know true peace. He wants us to know true love.
The problems in this world aren’t about which political party is in power. The problems in this world aren’t global warming or environmental issues. And the problems in this world aren’t racial equality or social injustices.
The problem in this world is our lack of love for one another.
So how does a world that’s filled with fearful people who are consumed by hatred for one another change? How does it become a world filled with love and peace? How do people come to know true peace?
Well, we can’t truly love until we know love personally. And, God is Love! “Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. 1 John 4:8.
We can’t know peace until we know peace personally. And Jesus is peace! “For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility “ Ephesians 2:14.
The problems in this world will not change until the hearts of men change.
So, how does a world filled with fear and hatred become a world filled with love and compassion?
Not to sound cliche, but: No God, No Love. Know God, Know Love. No Jesus, No Peace. Know Jesus, Know Peace.
That is where the followers of Jesus Christ come in. This is where we make a difference. “He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” Mark 16:15.
This is where we share the love that Jesus shared with us! And we point the world to true Love and true Peace! Let’s start pointing!
Father God, forgive us for our lack of love for one another. Forgive us for our hatred and fear for each other. Father, fill us with a supernatural love and pour it out on the world around us! We are humbly coming to Your throne! And You say in 2 Chronicles 7:14, “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” Let the healing begin, Father!

When you do, God says, “You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29:13). Seek Him and find true Love and true Peace. He is the one and only source of peace and love!
