All That It Holds

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. Matthew 24:35

In preparing for our women’s study recently, the Lord revealed some truths to me, that I had never seen before. He does that pretty frequently, but this time it was one of those WOW moments, where God shows you that what you thought was true (your whole life) wasn’t. When God speaks to us through His word this way, it seems to energize our spiritual lives and drives us to want to be in His word and studying even more.

We gain so much by studying God’s word, really studying. Within it’s pages we can find salvation itself (for you have been born again not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring word of God. 1 Peter 1:23). We can find the way to keep ourselves from sin (how can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word. Psalm 119:9). It can be our strength (My soul weeps because of grief; Strengthen me according to Your word. Psalm 119:28). God’s word is our joy (I have inherited Your testimonies forever, For they are the joy of my heart.). It can provide us with peace (Those who love Your law have great peace, And nothing causes them to stumble. Psalm 119:165). By loving and studying God’s word we will be strengthened and we will prosper in the works that God has planned for us (but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. Psalm 1:2-3).

God’s word will also never pass away (The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever. Isaiah 40:8) and we will be blessed by reading it (But he said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!” Luke 11:8). The word of God is was breathed out by Him for our benefit (All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 2 Timothy 3:16).

It is breathed out by God Himself (All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,), for our benefit.

God’s word is and will do all of these things, why are we not immersing ourselves in it daily, hoping to absorb All That It Holds.

He has taken the time to put instruction, strength, peace, joy, wisdom and all that we need into a form that we would have access to, at will. How great is His love for us? How much should we desire to read every word that He has written?

I pray that today we would have a new hunger for the scriptures, that we would desire to hear His voice within the pages and that today might be the first of many that we would spend with Him and in the pages of His glorious word. He has special messages locked within, that are for you and you alone. Open it up and listen for His voice.

If you do not know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, I pray that you would go to our Life Preserver page (https://forgiven-n-loved.com/life-preserver/) and pray the prayer that is outlined there. Once you have, please reach out to me at admin@forgiven-n-loved.com and let me know. I would love to help you grow in your relationship with and knowledge of our Precious Savior – Jesus Christ and to study the word of God. His unsurpassing love can be found within those pages.

Luv Ya!
